New Prediction
Why do you think you're right?

If Putin leaves office, it will be because he is too sick to rule or because he died. He has designed the entire Russian state apparatus to maintain power. Whatever damage the invasion of Ukraine has done to the regime, Patrushev seems committed to keeping Putin in power as long as possible. There is very little chance Putin will be deposed. On the other hand, he seems to be in declining health. Photographs of him show facial changes consistent with substantial doses of corticosteroids, which are not typically used to treat diseases that have a terminal prognosis in the short term.

Why might you be wrong?

Patrushev might be getting support lined up for a transition, while pretending to be a Putin loyalist.
