New Prediction

The recently announced guidelines for AI safety are very relaxed and easy to implement, although their effectiveness seems not very high. Therefore, it seems that the big social media companies will try to appease regulators and the general public by at least pretending to do something regarding AI generated content, and so called misinformation. The proposed watermarking system seems doable, and not very costly to introduce.

New Prediction

There has already been some media content that is purely AI generated. Like the youtube series with autogenerated Seinfield style episodes. The tech is there and its not too difficult. In addition, the writers and actors strikes will push companies to look for alternative content sources.
However, the big streamer services appear to have more strict guidelines for publishing content, and licensing is not very clear yet. Also, Sept 2023 is not too long into the future.

Italy has already blocked access to some models, so it would not be too surprising if another country follows with similar measures. This is especially likely in countries with weak or new governments that need to win some cheap political points.

The main opposition to Sweden's NATO application is Turkey, and in particular Erdogan. Now that he has secured reelection, he has little incentive to cooperate with NATO powers, and he can continue to use Sweden's alleged support of Kurdish insurgents as a way to increase his popularity.  However, he might have to concede if he is satisfied with the F16s that the USA seems to be willing to sell.
