Based on the COP27 outcomes, the general US market is incentivized to increase the production of quantum computing-related patents just in the climate technology-related space. There are many other applications of quantum computing and artificial intelligence that warrants the same probable collective growth and respective industries.

There may have already been a large number of patents submitted, and the nature of patents limits the potential for new similar ideas to receive the same level of validity and recognition. One patent can act as a pre-cursor or foundation to many others, making those specific patent requests obsolete.

The auto industry lobbyist power is still extremely strong nationwide in the US. There may very well be states that adopt similar standards but do not use the exact measurements put forth by California
