Putin appears to continue to maintain a strong grip on Russia's institutions, including the military. Political opponents have a history of "falling" out of their windows. While the war on Ukraine has caused some economic pain, Russia is still able to sell oil to other countries. So short-term, I think he will continue to remain in power. Longer term, if the war continues to go badly for Russia and economic pressure increases, I think his chances of being removed from power will increase
