I believe that it is extremely unlikely that Vladimir Putin will cease to be the president of the Russian Federation before May 1st, 2024 based on his track record of successfully maintaining his position of power in the Russian Federation since taking power initially from 1999 - 2000 as prime minister, as president from 2000 - 2008, then again as prime minister from 2008 - 2012, and the finally consolidating his political power as president from 2012.  During this time he has weather political attacks from within the Russian Federation as well as on international condemnation and sanctions from Western countries.  During this time Vladimir Putin has also launching several successful campaigns to expand the territory of the Russian Federation (Russo-Georgian War, 2008 and the Annexation of Crimea, 2014) which has brought him support within the Russian Federation from nationalist elements.  Additionally, he has secured his base of power among the oligarch class of Russ
