I think EU authorities will take visible action against one of these companies to encourage compliance with the Digital Services Act. Google's CEO has already indicated they (and likely others) have the technology to detect AI-generated content. I believe that once one company receives a fine, at least one other company will deploy this kind of feature to stay ahead of regulators.
